The community of the Basilica of Sant’Andrea della Valle joyfully celebrated the Solemnity of Saint Andrew the Apostle, patron of our church and a model of discipleship for the entire Church.
The Eucharistic celebration, presided over by Cardinal Dominique Mamberti, gathered many faithful who came to honor the first apostle called by Christ and to renew, following his example, their own journey of faith.
Throughout the liturgy, the faithful were invited to reflect on the witness of Saint Andrew: a man who recognized the voice of the Master and followed Him with a willing heart, becoming a courageous herald of the Gospel even unto martyrdom. His life continues to inspire all who seek to live the Christian vocation with authenticity and dedication.
On this solemn feast, those who participated were able to receive the gift of plenary indulgence, in accordance with the spiritual conditions required by the Church. This moment of grace renewed the spiritual journey of many pilgrims who approached with a spirit of reconciliation, trust, and hope.
The Basilica expresses its gratitude to all who joined in this celebration of faith, which not only honors our patron saint but also strengthens our communion and encourages us to follow Christ with the same readiness and zeal that marked the life of Saint Andrew.
