New painting at the General House
Yesterday the painting commissioned to the artist Rodolfo Papa was placed in the central patio of the Order’s Generalate, in his words:
“Mary stands out in the center, radiating light. The rainbow surrounding her symbolizes peace, in line with Isaiah’s tradition of Christ as the Lord of Peace and the rainbow as his symbol. Mary fully personifies this sign of peace. She wears the red habit, symbolizing divine grace. Cajetan, next to the child Jesus, dialogues with Him, sharing the light that He represents. The Theatine spirituality seeks to bring him closer to the people, promoting the mercy and light of the Child Jesus.”
