“I became all things to all people, so that by all possible means I might save some”
(1 Cor 9:22)
The Teatine Province of Argentina, “Our Lady of Luján and Saint Cajetan”, announces with deep sorrow, yet with firm hope in the resurrection, the passing of our beloved brother, Fr. Juan Carlos Di Camillo, C.R., on July 26, 2025.
Born on November 10, 1959, son of Domingo and Inés, his life was marked by generous dedication from his earliest steps in the faith. As he liked to say, he was “a Teatine from the baptismal font”. He professed his vows on February 28, 1982, and was ordained a priest on March 17, 1989.
He was the first Argentine Teatine, and he passed on to us the charism he received from our Spanish founders. He served in many roles: Provincial Superior, Delegate, Formator, and Pastor in several of our communities. His ministry was always a true “being all things to all.”
Deeply committed to the poor, he tirelessly preached the Gospel in disadvantaged neighborhoods and stood with informal workers during the 2001 economic crisis. He firmly believed that “the future is built through education”, and devoted himself with zeal to pastoral work in our schools.
The Lord called him from the community of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in Boulogne, the very place where he once prepared for the priesthood.
