Fr. Salvador Rodea González presided over a community Mass at the parish of Saint Cajetan and held dialogue sessions with local religious.

PUEBLA, Pue., October 8, 2026. — The Superior General of the Order of Theatines Clerics Regular, Fr. Salvador Rodea González, C.R., visited the Parish of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Saint Cajetan this Thursday in the capital of the state of Puebla, with the aim of evaluating the congregation’s pastoral work and meeting with the community of the faithful and religious.

During his stay, the highest authority of the Theatine Order chaired working meetings with the local clergy to review community activities, the challenges of evangelization in the area, and future social service priorities.

As the central event of the day, the Superior presided over the Eucharistic celebration before dozens of parishioners who gathered at the parish church. In his homily, centered on the passage from the Gospel according to Saint Luke, the priest called for perseverance and community action:

“The mission of the Church does not stop; it requires going out to meet others, maintaining prayer, and directly addressing the needs of those who need it most,” he stated during the Mass.

Likewise, the Superior General emphasized that the congregation’s presence in Puebla must continue to strengthen the founding charism of Saint Cajetan through close support for families and charitable works in vulnerable sectors.

The visit concluded with an open dialogue between the Superior General and the various parish groups, during which it was agreed to follow up on the pastoral and educational assistance projects planned for the coming months.
