First Mass with the Blessed Sacrament in the Tabernacle of the Theatine Formation House in Portugal
On December 3, continuing the significant moments experienced during the pastoral visit of the General Provost to Évora and Vendas Novas, the first Mass with the Blessed Sacrament reserved in the Tabernacle of the chapel of the new Theatine Formation House in Portugal was celebrated.
The Eucharist was presided over by the General Superior, Rev. Fr. Salvador Rodea González, C.R., who highlighted the spiritual importance of this moment, a sign that the Theatine presence is once again taking deep root in a land with a long missionary history.
The Mass was concelebrated by the Master of Juniors, Rev. Fr. Henrique Nunes Oliveira, C.R., with the participation of the brothers Henrique José Petruli, Jean Júnior Aguiar, and Vítor Hugo Souza Lima, who experienced with great emotion this beginning under the real presence of the Lord in the Tabernacle.
This first celebration marks the spiritual birth of the Formation House, reminding us that every Theatine mission begins and is sustained by the Eucharist. It is a step confirming the “new chapter” opened by the Holy Spirit in Portugal and renewing the mission with hope and apostolic zeal.
