Holy Mass of Closing Jubilee Year: September 14, 2024
With great emotion we communicate the following news for our Order and for all the faithful of Saint Cajetan and friends of the Theatines concerning the celebration of the Fifth Centenary of the Foundation of our Order of Theatine Clerics Regular.
In the City of Rome, where our Founders professed their religious vows and began the Order of Clerics Regular, Holy Mass will be celebrated in St. Peter’s Basilica, next to the Altar of the Chair, on September 14, 2024 at 12:00 noon, coinciding with the 500th anniversary of our Foundation.
With more than a year and a half to go, it is not possible to know if the Holy Father will be able to preside the celebration; in the case that the Jubilee Mass of the Closing of the Holy Year would be presided by the Holy Father, the place of the celebration would be the High Altar of St. Peter’s Basilica.
