The Order of Clerics Regular Theatines proudly presents the new annual issue (No.147, 2024) of Regnum Dei. Collectanea Theatina, published by the General Curia in Rome.
This special edition celebrates the 500th anniversary of the Order’s foundation (14 September 1524). As Fr. Marcelo R. Zubia, C.R., notes in his editorial, it invites us to “open the treasure chest of memory” to contemplate the Divine Providence that has guided the Theatine history and to renew the spiritual and missionary vitality of our charism.
The articles in this issue explore the Theatine heritage through history, theology, art, and culture:
The House and Church of the Theatines of San Vincenzo in Piacenza (Anna Còccioli Mastroviti & Susanna Pighi).
Political Theology: Providence and Liberation (Fr. Marcelo R. Zubia, C.R.).
Fr. Luigi Maria Ventura di Raulica, C.R., an unpublished 19th-century figure (Salvatore Fiumanò, S.D.P.).
Between Religion and Mathematics: The Life and Works of Girolamo Vitale, C.R. (Andrea Rabassini).
Gian Pietro Caraffa and Charles V: Two Men Who Shaped Modern Europe (Fr. Héctor Hernández García de León, C.R.).
The issue concludes with a Call for Papers for the next volume (No.148, 2025), which will accompany the Holy Year 2025 under the theme Path of Hope and Providence.
Since 1947, Regnum Dei has remained a scientific and spiritual publication dedicated to preserving the living memory of the Theatine charism and its contribution to theological, historical, and cultural reflection in the Church.
