Meeting of the Holy Father Leo XIV with the General Superiors of the Theatine Family
On September 5, 2025, the Holy Father Leo XIV granted a private audience to Rev. Father Salvador Rodea González, C.R., Superior General of the Order of Clerics Regular (Theatines), and Mother María de los Ángeles Vicente Mari, Superior General of the Theatine Sisters of the Immaculate Conception.
The meeting took place in the Private Library of the Apostolic Palace, in an atmosphere of profound ecclesial fraternity. During the encounter, the mission of the Theatine families was reaffirmed in fidelity to the charism received from Saint Cajetan of Thiene, oriented toward the spiritual renewal of the Church and the generous service of the People of God.
This event represents a sign of communion with the Successor of Peter and a renewed encouragement to continue proclaiming the Gospel with hope, joy, and steadfast commitment in the various Theatine missions throughout the world.
