The Theatine Province “Paul VI” of Brazil, of the Order of Clerics Regular Theatines, invites everyone to participate in the solemn Eucharistic celebration during which Deacon António Libério de Freitas Tomaz, C.R., will receive priestly ordination for the service of God and the Holy Church.

The celebration will take place on November 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., at Nossa Senhora das Dores Parish, in Fartura, in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. The ordination will be conferred through the laying on of hands and the prayer of ordination by His Most Reverend Excellency Bishop Celso Alexandre, Auxiliary Bishop of São Paulo.

This event represents a moment of special joy for the Theatine family, the religious community, and all the faithful who accompany the vocational journey of the future priest, called to dedicate his life to the service of God and His Church.

The celebration will be illuminated by the words of the Gospel according to Saint John: “Unless a grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains just a grain of wheat; but if it dies, it produces much fruit” (Jn 12:24).

In addition, the first Masses of the newly ordained priest will be celebrated:
