In the majestic Basilica of Saint Andrew della Valle, in Rome —seat of the General Curia of the Order of Clerics Regular (Theatines)— the exhibition “A Peace to Build” by Maestro Luciano Capriotti was recently presented.
A deeply spiritual display that invites contemplation, hope, and an inner commitment to peace.

The exhibition, featuring the moving series “A Via Crucis for Gaza”, offers a dialogue between art, faith, and the reality of human suffering. Through carved wood, the artist reflects on pain and redemption, transforming matter into prayer, art into journey, and wounds into hope.

The message of the work has crossed borders. The Ambassador of Ukraine to the Holy See, Andrii Yurash, visited the exhibition and shared his admiration:

“Yesterday I visited the exhibition – beautiful and inspiring! Have a good day and a good week!”

From Jerusalem, the Private Secretariat of Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch, sent a message of gratitude and blessing:

“We sincerely thank you, on behalf of His Beatitude, for the video showing the update of the exhibition A Via Crucis for Gaza.
We hope that in the future the initiative you envision may come to fruition.
With prayers,
Fr. Davide Meli.”

These words, united with the testimony of art, remind us that peace is not a destination but a path built through gestures, gazes, and silence.
Standing between art and faith, “A Peace to Build” becomes a call not to let pain have the final word.
