The Diac. Juan Miguel Tabares, C.R. invites us to reflect on this 4th Sunday of Lent on “A careful love. Love for the world caresses all frailties with care” Based on today’s Gospel, which proposes the words addressed by Jesus to Nicodemus: “God, he loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten Son\u201d; and relying on the bases of article 115 of the Encyclical Letter Fratelli Tutti, of Pope Francis:<\/p>\n
“At a time when everything seems to disintegrate and lose consistency, it is good for us to appeal to the \u201csolidity\u201d born of the consciousness that we are responsible for the fragility of others as we strive to build a common future. Solidarity finds concrete expression in service, which can take a variety of forms in an effort to care for others. And service in great part means \u201ccaring for vulnerability, for the vulnerable members of our families, our society, our people\u201d. In offering such service, individuals learn to \u201cset aside their own wishes and desires, their pursuit of power, before the concrete gaze of those who are most vulnerable\u2026 Service always looks to their faces, touches their flesh, senses their closeness and even, in some cases, \u2018suffers\u2019 that closeness and tries to help them. Service is never ideological, for we do not serve ideas, we serve people\u201d\u201d.<\/p>\n
