In the wake of the earthquake that has affected various regions of Colombia, the Theatine Family expresses its closeness and solidarity with all those who are experiencing moments of pain, uncertainty, and concern.<\/p>\n
With special affection, we raise our prayer for those who have lost their lives, for the injured, for families searching for their loved ones, and for all those who have been affected. We also entrust to God those involved in search, rescue, assistance, and support efforts.<\/p>\n
From our Theatine communities in Colombia, we have received reassuring messages. Fr. Jhon Alberto Vargas, C.R., Theatine Local Superior, has communicated that the members of the community are safe and well. Likewise, the Rev. Fr. Pablo Guerrero, C.R., Provincial Superior of Spain-Colombia, has conveyed his message of closeness and prayer in this situation.<\/p>\n
“Good afternoon. As you know, there has been a strong earthquake in Colombia that has been felt very intensely in Cali. I was able to talk to P. Pascual and everyone are well. There has been some damage in the Alfonso L\u00f3pez College and nothing was yet known about the Villa Mercedes College since communications are very complicated. As we have more news, we will communicate it.” We give thanks to God for the protection granted to our brothers and sisters, and we remain attentive to the needs of those around us. As sons and daughters of St. Cajetan, we wish to live this moment with trust in Divine Providence<\/strong>, which sustains and accompanies His children even amid the most difficult circumstances.<\/p>\n The Theatine Family will remain united in prayer for Colombia, accompanying those who suffer with fraternal closeness and, according to its possibilities, placing itself at the service of those who may need help.<\/p>\n May the Lord grant eternal rest to those who have died, consolation to their families, strength to the injured, and hope to all those affected.<\/strong><\/p>\n St. Cajetan, pray for Colombia.<\/strong>
