Fr. Juan Roberto Orqueida Guaglianone, C.R., Prefect of the Library and General Archive of the Theatine Order, who offers a carefully prepared edition and introductory study that sheds light on a lesser-known \u2014 yet deeply significant \u2014 dimension of the figure of <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">San Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda Tomasi<\/span><\/span>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"3433\" data-end=\"3477\">Rediscovering the \u201cPrince of Liturgists\u201d<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3479\" data-end=\"3819\">Known as the \u201cPrince of Liturgists,\u201d a title attributed to him by <span class=\"hover:entity-accent entity-underline inline cursor-pointer align-baseline\"><span class=\"whitespace-normal\">Benedict XIV<\/span><\/span>, Saint Joseph Mary Tomasi stands out in the history of the liturgy as an editor of ancient liturgical sources of great importance. His scholarship contributed decisively to the knowledge and recovery of the Church\u2019s liturgical heritage.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3821\" data-end=\"4157\">However, the works presented here demonstrate his zeal and pastoral activity in the liturgical formation of the laity within the framework of the post-Tridentine Catholic Reform.
