On March 3<\/strong>, at the Basilica of Sant\u2019Andrea della Valle<\/strong>, the inaugural event of the exhibition Who Is the Man of the Shroud?<\/em><\/strong> will take place. This new opportunity for in-depth reflection on the mystery of the Shroud is promoted by the Ateneo Pontificio Regina Apostolorum<\/strong> and continues the journey begun with last year\u2019s exhibition, held on the occasion of the Jubilee at the Basilica of San Giovanni Battista dei Fiorentini, which attracted wide interest and strong participation.<\/p>\n

The exhibition Who Is the Man of the Shroud?<\/em> is conceived as a cultural and spiritual journey of great value, guiding visitors through the main fields of study of the Holy Shroud\u2014historical, biblical, scientific, and anthropological. It combines scientific rigor with spiritual sensitivity, offering accessible yet well-grounded tools for understanding one of the most studied and debated relics in Christian history.<\/p>\n

This year, the exhibition will be hosted at the Basilica of Sant\u2019Andrea della Valle, in the heart of Rome, from March 3 until mid-May 2026<\/strong>. The inaugural event, beginning at 4:30 p.m.<\/strong>, will open with institutional greetings from the Superior General of the Order of Clerics Regular (Theatines)<\/strong>, the Rector of the Basilica of Sant\u2019Andrea della Valle<\/strong>, and the Rector of the Pontifical Athenaeum Regina Apostolorum<\/strong>, highlighting the ecclesial and academic significance of the initiative.<\/p>\n

The heart of the event will be the conference The Shroud Between Science and Faith<\/em>, delivered by Fr. Rafael Pascual<\/strong>, Director of the Othonia Research Group and Professor in the Faculty of Philosophy of the Athenaeum, who will offer a theological and anthropological interpretation of the Shroud, together with Prof. Emanuela Marinelli<\/strong>, Visiting Professor at the APRA Institute of Religious Sciences and one of the world\u2019s leading experts, who will present the main results of scientific research on the Holy Shroud, in a dialogue uniting scientific rigor and spiritual depth.<\/p>\n

The initiative forms part of the Athenaeum\u2019s broader commitment to serving the Church and society, as a privileged moment for the evangelization of culture<\/strong>, placing academic research at the service of the wider community and offering an experience of high human, cultural, and spiritual value.<\/p>\n
