USG GATHERING \u2013 TESTIMONY OF THE GENERAL SUPERIOR<\/strong>

Rev. Father Salvador Rodea Gonz\u00e1lez, C.R., General Superior of the Order of Clerics Regular (Theatines), shared his experience at the recent gathering of the Union of Superiors General (USG)<\/strong>, marked by moments of fraternity, reflection, and ecclesial communion.<\/p>\n

The meeting with the Holy Father took place in an atmosphere of profound simplicity. The Pope offered a message focused on the identity of consecrated life and responded to questions previously submitted by the participants. Before departing, he gave some final words and shared details about his upcoming trip to Turkey and Lebanon. Finally, he personally greeted each Superior General, a gesture that further highlighted his characteristic pastoral closeness.<\/p>\n

The following day was dedicated to prayer<\/strong>, inviting everyone to live a shared spiritual experience. In the afternoon, a particularly relevant theme was addressed: artificial intelligence and its impact on formation and on the life of religious communities<\/strong>. The final session covered legal matters related to consecrated life and concluded with a presentation on the Laudato Si’<\/strong> movement, currently being developed in Assisi. The Eucharist and a moment of fraternal sharing brought the gathering to a close.<\/p>\n

Father Salvador was also invited to preside over the Spanish-language Mass for the USG participants<\/strong>, a significant occasion as it was his first time celebrating in this context. He was accompanied by the Theatine juniors, who led the liturgical singing, and by Brother Jes\u00fas, solemn professed, who served as acolyte. The celebration included active participation from several priests in the readings and concelebration, creating a lively, warm, and deeply communal atmosphere.<\/p>\n

We express our gratitude to the General Superior for his presence and service to the Order, and for his testimony in these spaces that strengthen consecrated life and its mission in the Church.<\/p>\n
