The Theatine Order joyfully announces the official visit of the General Provost of the Clerics Regular Theatines, the Most Reverend Father Salvador Rodea Gonz\u00e1lez, C.R., to the island of Malta in November 2025. His presence marked a moment of grace and communion for our communities, in continuity with the evangelizing mission carried out by the sons of Saint Cajetan throughout the world.<\/p>\n

During his stay, the General Provost participated in various pastoral and liturgical events in parishes and sanctuaries across Malta. Among the most significant moments was the solemn handing over of an authentic relic of Saint Cajetan, a gesture that strengthens the devotion to our holy founder and renews the spiritual bond between the Theatine Order and the Maltese people.<\/p>\n

The program included conferences on the life, spirituality, and expansion of the devotion to Saint Cajetan in Malta and Europe; Eucharistic celebrations presided by the General Provost; moments of communal prayer; and meetings with the faithful, priests, and religious. In the city of ?abbar, the official ceremony of the relic\u2019s donation took place, accompanied by a period of reflection and prayer before the figure of Saint Cajetan.<\/p>\n

The presence of the General Provost in Malta was warmly welcomed by local communities, who expressed their gratitude for this gesture of closeness and communion. The visit strengthened the charismatic mission of the Order and renewed the call to live with deeper trust in Divine Providence, following the example of Saint Cajetan.<\/p>\n

The Theatine Order expresses its gratitude to all parishes, sanctuaries, ecclesial institutions, and faithful who participated and collaborated during these days of encounter and prayer. May the intercession of Saint Cajetan continue to accompany the life of the Church in Malta and all who seek to live their faith with dedication and hope.<\/p>\n
