That morning of the Holy Cross, in the chapel of St. Andrew, Apostle of the Cross, the first four Theatines in history, on the tomb of the Prince of the Apostles, who died crucified face down, as tradition would have it, made their profession as Clerics Regular and the Theatine Order was born as a hymn to the Cross.<\/div>\n

The Theatines, from the threshold of their history, did not want for shield more than a “Cross of Calvary”, and that is identified with a naked cross planted on a trimonte that symbolizes the Calvary of Jerusalem.<\/div>\n

On this special day for us, we launch the new coat of arms that will accompany us on this path towards the 500 years of foundation, and beyond!<\/div>\n
